About us

History at a glance

Noraccom Inc was formed in 1982 to provide self-funded, community based accommodation for adults with an intellectual disability. A group of parents whose children with a disability were nearing adulthood, recognising the lack of appropriate accommodation, took the initiative in purchasing, and then building and servicing houses to meet the needs of their family members. By 2014, Noraccom has four houses on two adjacent properties, providing a home for 17 residents.

What is Noraccom?

Noraccom is a not for profit organisation that provides accommodation for adults with a mild intellectual disability. Our service is unique in that we strive to encourage each resident/individual to maximise their independence within the security of a semi-supported environment.
Noraccom fosters a sense of community among our residents and their families.
Each resident has a private bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shares communal lounge, kitchen, laundry and recreational areas as well as outdoor space.
The residents are supported by a careworker from 4pm-7.30am daily, with an additional careworker from 4-8 pm, under the supervision of a part-time manager.
